Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Lithuanian LCC Klaipeda (13-3) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by leader Latvian TTT Riga (11-0) 84-71. TTT Riga dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to LCC Klaipeda's 20 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. TTT Riga forced 25 LCC Klaipeda turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by LCC Klaipeda helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Lithuanian forward Gabija Meskonyte (181-1998) stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Kyra Lambert (175-1996, college: Texas) chipped in 20 points, 6 assists and 5 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). The best for the losing side was Latvian guard Lina Loceniece (178-2002, college: Wagner) with 25 points. Undefeated TTT Riga have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. LCC Klaipeda at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. TTT Riga are looking forward to face Siauliai (#4) at home in the next round. LCC Klaipeda will play against Daugavpils and is hoping to win this game.

The game took place in Kaunas where sixth ranked Aistes-LSMU outleveled visiting Panevezys (5-9) 71-45. Karolina Kazociunaite (180-1999) nailed 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Gintare Paulauskaite accounted for 18 points and 4 steals. Forward Urte Bukauskaite (180-1994) came up with 10 points for Panevezys in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Aistes-LSMU. They maintain sixth place with 10-6 record. Panevezys lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Aistes-LSMU will play against league's second-placed Neptunas in Klaipeda in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Panevezys will play at home against Siauliai (#4) and hope to get back on the winning track.

RSU's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Franciska Treiliha who recorded 24 points. RSU (8-7) moved-up to seventh place. Loser BJBS Riga dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. RSU will meet at home Daugavpils (#10) in the next round. BJBS Riga will have a break next round.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 21: Kibirkstis-MRU won against Liepaja/LSSS on the opponent's court 75-65. Jurmala was outscored by Daugavpils in a home game 44-78. Liepaja/LSSS recorded a loss to Neptunas on the road 73-57.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 19 points and 8 rebounds by Marina Solopova of Neptunas.

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Latvian Liepaja/LSSS (8-9) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Lithuanian Kibirkstis-MRU (10-4) 75-65 on Tuesday. Kibirkstis-MRU shot 30 for 41 from the free-throw line, while Liepaja/LSSS only scored thirteen points from the stripe. Kibirkstis-MRU forced 21 Liepaja/LSSS turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Ugne Grigaliunaite (184-2004) who scored 30 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Gabriele Sulske (177-1990) chipped in 8 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Kitija Muzikante (165-2006) who recorded 14 points and Latvian guard Madara Smite (170-2006) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when RSU made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was swingman Anita Mikelsone (178-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Daugavpils (2-11) smashed on the road 12th ranked Jurmala (1-13) 78-44 on Wednesday. Daugavpils dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Jurmala's 16. Daugavpils forced 21 Jurmala turnovers. The best player for the winners was Latvian center Valerija Baranovska (180-2003) who scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. Center Anna Liepina (186-2007) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four Daugavpils players scored in double figures. Daugavpils' coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest.
