They outrebounded Liepaja/LSSS 40-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Liepaja/LSSS helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Mia Loyd (181-1994, college: N.Dakota, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Swingman Anita Mikelsone (178-2001) chipped in 5 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Enija Kivite (176-2003) produced 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. TTT Riga maintains fourth place with 5-4 record. Liepaja/LSSS at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. It was a great evening for Egle Zabotkaite who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Paula Cirsa responded with 20 points. Kibirkstis-MRU have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending Lithuanian champion maintains first place with 10-0 record. Loser RSU keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Kibirkstis-MRU will meet Liepaja/LSSS (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. RSU will play against TSA Tallinn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
