South Korea - Canada 58-92
Canada recorded the first win in Group C. They rallied past South Korea to improve at 1-1 record. Toby Fournier (188-F-2005) stepped up with 32 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Canada recorded a 46-28 halftime lead. The North American side followed with a 27-13 run in third term to clear off for good. Cassandre Prosper (188-SF-2005) had 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Heo Yoojung (176-F/G-2005) answered with 11 points for South Korea.

Argentina - Australia 44-66
Australia outgunned Argentina for 1-1 record in Group B. Australia dominated throughout the game. They established a 31-21 halftime lead. Australia followed with a 35-23 rally in the second half to rally to the victory. Jayda Clark (183-F/C-2005) tallied 11 points in the victory. Pauala Gonzalez (175-SG-2005) answered with 12 points and 10 rebounds for Argentina.

Spain - Egypt 86-48
Spain cruised past Egypt to improve at 2-0 record in Hungary. Awa Thiam (192-C-2006, college: Pima CC) came up with 16 points to pace the winners. Spain recorded a 40-16 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the victory. Carla Segura accounted for 15 points in the victory. Jana Elalfy (192-C-2005) answered with 15 points for Egypt.

Slovenia - France 56-93
France cruised past Slovenia for the second consecutive win at the tournament. They jumped off to a comfortable 48-30 halftime lead. France added 45 points in the second half and raced to a convincing victory at the end. Tea Cleante (176-F/G-2006) delivered 19 points, while Ramouna Said (187-C-2005) added 14 points for France. Tanja Valancic (184-F-2006) answered with 11 points for Slovenia.

Mali - Germany 44-55
Germany claimed the second straight win in Group D. They rallied past Mali to remain undefeated. Germany held their opponents to just 15 points in the first half to take an 8-point lead. They sank 21 points in the third term to open a 15-point lead at the final intermission and raced to the victory in the fourth quarter. Mailien Rolf (179-G-2005) notched 15 points and 14 rebounds in the win. Alimata Coulibaly (188-C-2005) answered with 13 points for Mali.

Japan - Hungary 55-79
Hungary outscored Japan to keep their record perfect in Group A. The hosts used a 24-11 run in the second term to open a 43-29 halftime lead. Hungary held Japan to just 26 points in the second half to race to the win. Petra Toman scored 23 points for the hosts. Iroha Higashi (159-G-2005) replied with 17 points for Japan.

New Zealand - USA 34-102
USA stormed past New Zealand for the second win in Hungary. The teams were tied at 12 after ten minutes. But USA unleashed 67 points in the second half to cruise to the victory. Hannah Hildalgo (170-G-2005) tossed in 16 points, while JuJu Watkins (183-G-2005, college: USA NT U16) had 14 points for the winning side. Maia Jones (179-SG-2005) answered with 13 points for New Zealand.

Belgium - Mexico 92-43
Belgium opened win count in Hungary. They eased past Mexico for 1-1 record. Belgium led by only 5 points at halftime. But they went on a strong 59-15 run in the second half to ice the win. Kyra Bruyndoncx (168-C-2006) tallied 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for Belgium. Sara Remacle (172-G-2005) and Sam Daelemans (182-SF-2005) hauled in 11 points each in the victory. Gizel Navarro (160-PG-2005) answered with 12 points for Mexico.
