Iran - Lebanon 73-81

Lebanon ended their 2023 World Cup campaign on a high note. They overcame their Asian rivals Iran behind 21 points and 7 assists from Wael Arakji (194-G-1994).
Lebanon looked the dominant force throughout the bigger part of the game. They established a 20-13 lead after ten minutes of action. Lebanon increased the offensive intensity in the second period taking a 48-36 halftime advantage. They limited Iran to just 13 points in the third term to open a 13-point advantage. Iran sank 24 points in the fourth quarter but just sweetened the pill at the end. Ali Mohamad Haidar (203-F/C-1990, college: Michigan Tech) delivered 20 points for Lebanon. Mohammad Amini (202-G-2005, agency: BIG) notched 22 points, while Hamed Haddadi (218-C-1985, agency: BIG) had 14 points and 8 rebounds for Iran.
