FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers groups confirmed- May 13, 2025The draw for the FIBA World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers took place on May 13 in Doha, giving us a clearer view of the "Road to Qatar." Eight groups of four teams have been formed, with games set to be played across six FIBA windows. The European Qualifiers will run from November 2025 to March 2027, and 12 nations will earn a spot in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027. Eight European Qualifier teams are still to be determined through European Pre-Qualifiers. This upcoming edition of the World Cup will make history as the first ever to be hosted in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Qatar will welcome the world's best from August 27 to September 12, 2027. European Qualifiers Groups: Group A: 2PQD, Georgia, WPQA, Spain Group B: Greece, Montenegro, Portugal, WPQB Group C: Serbia, Turkiye, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2PQA Group D: Great Britain, Italy, Iceland, Lithuania Group E: WPQD, Germany, Israel, Cyprus Group F: Latvia, Poland, 2PQC, WPQC Group G: 2PQB, France, Belgium, Finland Group H: Slovenia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia. African Qualifiers Groups:
Group A: Cameroon, South Sudan, Libya, Cape Verde Group B: Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Madagascar, Congo Group C: Nigeria, Rwanda, Guinea, Tunisia, Group D: Mali, Angola, Uganda, Egypt.
