Turkiye earned the third straight victory at the 2027 World Cup European Qualifiers. They handed the second consecutive defeat to Serbia to improve at 3-0 record atop of Group C. Tarik Biberovic (201-SF-2001) scored 21 points, while Omer Yurtseven (213-C-1998, college: Georgetown) provided 17 points for the home side.
Turkiye sank 28 points in the first period to gain an 7-point lead. Serbia narrowed the gap in the second frame. The visitors pulled within 4 points at halftime 48-44. Turkiye regained control in the third stanza. The hosts poured in 28 points to boost the lead to as many as 13 points. Serbia slowed the home side down in the fourth period but could not avert the loss.
Aleksa Avramovic (193-G-1994) banked in 16 points and 9 assists, while Ognjen Dobric (200-G/F-1994) posted 14 points for Serbia.
