Regular Season Round 18: Wels - Klosterneuburg 96-94

The most exciting game of round 18 in the BSL took place in Wels. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th rankedDukes (11-6) to third ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (14-3) 96-94 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Dukes. Wels made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Klosterneuburg outrebounded Wels 46-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for German Radii Caisin (198-2001) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Damion Rosser (195-1999, college: New Orleans) contributed with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Raiffeisen Flyers Wels players scored in double figures. American forward Will Carius (205-1998, college: W.Illinois) replied with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import guard KJ Jenkins (188-2000, college: UNCW) added 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) in the effort for Klosterneuburg. Wels keep a position of league leader, which they share with Oberwart and Gmunden. Klosterneuburg at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Traiskirchen.
