Regular Season Round 17: BBU Salzburg - UDW Alligators 79-88

Rather expected game in Salzburg where 4th placed BBU (7-9) was defeated by second ranked Alligators (12-4) 88-79 on Saturday. UDW Alligators forced 19 BBU Salzburg turnovers. Serbian-Hungarian power forward Nebojsa Dukic (206-1988, agency: 011 Sports) stepped up and scored 22 points for the winners and Slovakian forward Matej Drgon (206-1998, college: NWOSU) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Center Marko Rakic (200-1999) responded with 28 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Aleksandar Andjelkovic (203-1997) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Five UDW Alligators and four BBU Salzburg players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Alligators. UDW Alligators maintains second place with 12-4 record having just three points less than leader Piraten, which they share with Towers. Loser BBU keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. UDW Alligators will meet league's leader Piraten in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BBU Salzburg will have a break next round.
