Regular Season Round 17: KOS - Lions 72-83

No shocking result in a game in Celovec where fifth ranked Lions (5-12) defeated 7th ranked KOS (1-14) 83-72 on Saturday. Bulgarian swingman Berk Mehmed (200-2002, agency: BIG) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners and Spanish Eduard Nogues (193-2003) chipped in 16 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Lions players scored in double figures. Guard Samuel Seher (193-2003) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Slovenian point guard Jernej Heine (188-2000) scored 9 points and 14 rebounds. Lions have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 5-12 record. KOS lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 14 games lost. Lions will meet at home higher ranked Raiders (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KOS will play against the league's second-placed Towers (#2) in Kufstein and hope to win that game.
