Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Vienna:Flames (#5) and Timberwolves (#6). Timberwolves were defeated at home 62-72 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Basket Flames shot 22 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Timberwolves only scored four points from the stripe. Basket Flames forced 19 Timberwolves turnovers and outrebounded them 49-30 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Lisa Ganhoer (167-2001) scored 27 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Stella Popp (178-2001, college: Albany) chipped in 21 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Guard Lara Binder (170-2006) responded with 15 points and forward Larissa Serban (181-2007) scored 14 points. Timberwolves' coach Hubert Schmidt rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Basket Flames maintains fifth position with 5-7 record. Loser Timberwolves keep the sixth place with nine games lost.
