The biggest surprise of round 5 was guestWels ' (4-1) road victory over Vienna (#5) 73-71 on Monday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels forced 19 BC Vienna turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Chris Rollins (198-1999, college: UAFS) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Marcus Azor (188-2000, college: UMass Dartmouth) chipped in 23 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Italian-Bulgarian Borislav Mladenov (202-2000) produced 25 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 blocks and added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. BC Vienna's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Wels keep a position of league leader, which they share with Klosterneuburg and Oberwart. Vienna at the other side keeps the fifth place with two games lost.
