Very important is a road loss of third rankedWorthersee Piraten (8-3) against sixteenth ranked Steiermark (1-10) on Saturday night. Visiting Worthersee Piraten was defeated by Steiermark in a tough game in Steiermark 77-82 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Worthersee Piraten. Steiermark players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Justin McCaw orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Zalan Vincze contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Shawn Ray (196-1980, college: NCCU) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Marcus Holyfield added 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Worthersee. Steiermark maintains sixteenth place with 1-10 record. Worthersee at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost.
