Very important is a road loss of third rankedUBSC Graz (10-5) against eighth ranked Lions (6-9) on Sunday night. Visiting UBSC Graz was defeated by Lions in a tough game in Traiskirchen 78-84 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of UBSC Graz. The winners were led by American forward Kris Monroe (203-1999, college: NCCU) who scored that evening 20 points and 8 rebounds and Latvian point guard Edgars Lasenbergs (187-1995) supported him with 20 points and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Lions' coach Benedikt Danek allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Peyton Gerald (206-2003, college: FSC) did not help to save the game for UBSC Graz . His fellow American import point guard Tevin Brewer (173-1998, college: Duquesne) added 22 points and 6 assists for lost side. Four Traiskirchen and five UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. Lions have a solid three-game winning streak. Traiskirchen maintains eighth position with 6-9 record. UBSC Graz at the other side dropped to the fourth place with five games lost.
