The biggest surprise of round 12 in BDSL was guestBasket Flames ' (#3) easy road victory over DBB Wels (#4) 77-59 on Sunday evening. Basket Flames made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 DBB Wels turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Pia Jurhar (192-1995, college: Portland St.) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. German Helena Linder (182-1998) chipped in 19 points. Four Basket Flames players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Sophia Kuranovic (182-2010) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and Ivona Pilic (180-2009) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively. DBB Wels' coach Damir Kuranovic rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Basket Flames maintains third position with 7-4 record having four points less than leader BK Duchess. DBB Wels at the other side keep the fourth place with five games lost.
