Rather predictable result when ninth rankedUBC St. Poelten (4-16) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (1-19) 98-92 on Saturday. St.Poelten shot 63.3 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Simon Schloegl (187-2006) fired 33 points (!!!) (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners. Danish power forward Olamide Pedersen (205-1997, college: WNMU, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. UBC St. Poelten's coach Andrej Cervenka used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American-Swedish guard David Czerapowicz (192-1999, college: Davidson, agency: BIG) produced 26 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian swingman Filip Bjelanovic (200-2002) added 29 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. St.Poelten maintains ninth position with 4-16 record. Furstenfeld lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 19 lost games.
