Rather expected game in Stara Zagora where 5th rankedBeroe (3-3) was crushed by second ranked Rilski (5-1) 96-74 on Saturday. Rilski dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Beroe 's 36 and made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Rilski had a 30-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Hristo Bachkov (200-2004, agency: BIG) who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Deyan Karamfilov (180-1994, agency: BIG) chipped in 9 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Brett Reed (204-1996, college: St.Martin's) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Darius Quisenberry (185-1999, college: Fordham, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Four Beroe players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Balkan. Beroe lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with three games lost.
