Quarter-Finals Round 3: Apoel - Apollon 79-52

Date: April 4, 2018
Apoel rallied past Apollon to advance into the semifinal stage. The game was mostly controlled by Apoel. Apollon managed to win second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Apoel made 9 blocks. Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward Brian Harper (208-85, college: Paine) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Willie Kemp (185-87, college: Memphis) helped adding 11 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Five Apoel players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Nigerian center Peter Olisemeka (204-91) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and American center CJ Turman (206-95, college: Florida Atlantic, agency: KMG Sports Management) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
