Undefeated leader AEK Larnaca delivered the sixth consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked APOP (2-4) 91-67 in Paphou. The game was mostly controlled by AEK Larnaca. APOP managed to win fourth quarter 32-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding APOP to just 6 points in second quarter. AEK Larnaca dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to APOP's 30. The best for the losing side was point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) with 21 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and power forward Kevin Langford (203-85, college: TCU) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. APOP's coach Ioannis Livanos gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. AEK Larnaca (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row, which they share with E.N. Paralimni. Loser APOP keeps the seventh place with four games lost.
