Very significant wasAEL 's (#1, 12-2) victory against 4th placed APOP (4-10) 113-43 . The game without a history. AEL led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding APOP to just 4 points in first quarter and to 14 points in first half. AEL held APOP to an opponent 20.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 58.7 percent accuracy of the winners. AEL forced 23 APOP turnovers and had a 35-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. AEL shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by APOP 's players. American swingman Sara Dickey (177-1995, college: Evansville) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals for the winners and the former international guard Sofia Stylianidi (174-2003) chipped in 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Four AEL players scored in double figures. AEL's coach Giorgos Palalas felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panagiota Themistokleous (185-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and Eleftheria Kouklada scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. AEL have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-2 record, which they share with Anagennises. APOP lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with ten games lost.
