Regular Season Round 9: Amager - Falcon 45-96

LeaderFalcon delivered the seventh victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Amager (0-8) 96-45 in Kastrup. Falcon held Amager to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Falcon forced 25 Amager turnovers and outrebounded them 60-32 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Falcon players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Amager 's players. It was a good game for the former international center Julianna Okosun (194-2001, college: Marquette, agency: Highlight Athletes) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Taylor Gleason (172-1995, college: Oakland) contributed with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Gleason is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Falcon's coach Ivana Udovalieva felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Ellen Iversen (180-1997) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Ida Christensen (186-2005) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Amager. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-1 record. Amager at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost.
