Regular Season Round 14: Holbaek-Stenhus - Amager 77-83

Amager 's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after 12 consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Holbaek, where they defeated Holbaek-Stenhus (1-12) 83-77 on Thursday. Amager made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Holbaek-Stenhus turnovers. Strangely Holbaek-Stenhus outrebounded Amager 42-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Canadian center Majok Gum (206-2000, agency: Starting 5) notched 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Isaiah Burnett (195-1999, college: Stonehill) supported him with 17 points and 6 steals. Even a double-double of 23 points, 11 rebounds and 7 blocks by American swingman Woody Newton (206-2001, college: GMU) did not help to save the game for Holbaek-Stenhus . His fellow American import guard Forte Prater (190, college: Roosevelt, agency: Interperformances) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Amager left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Holbaek-Stenhus . It was Holbaek-Stenhus ' eighth loss in a row.
