The most exciting game of round 18 in the BasketLigaen took place in Aarhus. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th rankedSvendborg (12-4) to first ranked Bakken Bears (14-1) 101-100 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Svendborg. Bakken Bears forced 19 Svendborg turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. International guard Darko Jukic (199-1990) scored 24 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Duke Deen (173-2001, college: Bradley) chipped in 14 points and 8 assists during the contest. Bakken Bears' coach Skyler Bowlin used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard Jalen Lake (193, college: Colorado St.) with 24 points and his fellow American import guard Kyreese Willingham (196, college: MSU) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bakken Bears have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-1 record. Svendborg at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost.
