Fourth-rankedHerlev (6-7) made lots of trouble for first ranked Falcon (11-2) in Copenhagen on Sunday. Falcon managed to secure only two-point victory 49-47 . However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Herlev. Falcon held Herlev to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 28.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Falcon forced 26 Herlev turnovers. Strangely Herlev outrebounded Falcon 54-39 including 20 on the offensive glass. Spanish guard Celia Carbonell (173-2001, college: FDU) fired 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Spanish point guard Ines Margarit (165-1998) chipped in 6 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Malou Lachenmeier (175-1999, college: Roosevelt) produced 26 points and power forward Isabella Marion (194-2008) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-2 record. Herlev at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost.
