There was a minor upset when 9th rankedBears Academy (6-16) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Vejen (3-19) 99-94 on Thursday. Vejen forced 21 Bears Academy turnovers. Strangely Bears Academy outrebounded Vejen 37-14 including a 25-9 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Tony Wroten (198-1993, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Andrew Orr (204, college: Washburn) helped adding 29 points and 4 blocks. Forward Luka Churchill (198-2007) responded with 22 points and center Holger Rasmussen (204-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Bears Academy's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vejen moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Holbaek-Stenhus. Loser Bears Academy dropped to the eighth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Herlev.
