There was a minor upset when higher rankedHerford (4-3) was edged on the road by ninth ranked Salzkotten (4-3) 102-99 on Saturday. Lithuanian Dainius Zvinklys (203-1990) fired 36 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners. Elijah Hayes chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Irish forward Sanmi Fajana (203-2001, college: Parkside, agency: Helping Ballers) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and French guard Jawaad Tonye-Biyik (185-2002) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Four Salzkotten and five Herford players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Salzkotten moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Herford and Bramsche.
