There was a minor upset when top-rankedHagen BG (9-1) was defeated on the road by third ranked Koeln DTV (7-3) 82-75 on Sunday. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Koeln DTV made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Hagen BG turnovers. The best player for the winners was American-British guard Elijah Jenkins (190, college: Embry Riddle) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 4 steals (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Thomas Michel (200-1995) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Koeln DTV's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Dutch guard Jaro Abrams (191-2002) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and Jegor Cymbal (197-2004) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Koeln DTV moved-up to second place. Loser Hagen BG still keeps top position with one game lost.
