Very important is a home loss of third rankedOsnabrueck BBC (4-2) against twelfth ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (2-6) on Sunday night. Host Osnabrueck BBC was defeated by Rotenburg/Scheessel in a tough game in Osnabrueck 66-70 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Osnabrueck BBC. Rotenburg forced 19 Osnabrueck BBC turnovers. Strangely Osnabrueck BBC outrebounded Rotenburg 42-28 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American Sam Deem (185-2001, college: Regis Univ.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. The former international guard Pia Mankertz (170-1990) helped adding 23 points. Rotenburg/Scheessel's coach Christian Greve allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side point guard Annemarie Potratz (163-1997) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Tonia Doelle (182-1997) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Rotenburg moved-up to eleventh place. Osnabrueck BBC at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Recklinghausen and Rhein-Main. Rotenburg will play against league's leader Bochum at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Osnabrueck BBC will play against the league's second-placed Chemnitz having rather not much hope for a victory.
