There was an upset when higher rankedMBC (5-4) lost on the road to twelfth ranked Braunschweig (4-4) 76-70 on Sunday. Lithuanian point guard Arnas Velicka (195-1999) notched 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and American forward Tre Mitchell (206-2000, college: Kentucky) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Even 13 points and 8 rebounds by Martin Breunig (203-1992, college: Montana) did not help to save the game for Weissenfels . Naturalized American Spencer Reaves (191-1995, college: Central Mo.) added 16 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Braunschweig moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Bonn and Oldenburg. Loser MBC dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Ludwigsburg and Vechta.
