There was no surprise when 15th rankedRecklinghausen (2-12) was outplayed at home by third ranked Koeln DTV (10-4) 82-52 on Friday. Koeln DTV outrebounded Recklinghausen 47-34 including 36 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American-British guard Elijah Jenkins (190, college: Embry Riddle) who scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Valentin Blass (198-1995) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Lennard Kaprolat (187-2002) who recorded 9 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Niklas Meesmann (186-1998) added 11 points respectively. Recklinghausen's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Koeln DTV have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-4 record having just three point less than leader Bargteheide. Recklinghausen lost fifth consecutive game.
