There was a small surprise when fourth rankedStade (9-3) beat on the road second-best Braunschweig (9-3) 103-98 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian center Vytautas Meistas (207-2002) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Aleksandar Postic (195-2000) chipped in 24 points. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Benjamin Schroeder (201-2003, college: GWU, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and point guard Noe Bom (190-2006) added 23 points and 7 assists respectively. Five Stade and four Braunschweig players scored in double figures. Braunschweig's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Stade have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Braunschweig. Braunschweig lost third consecutive game.
