There was no surprise when 10th rankedHaiterbach (3-8) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Giessen (9-2) 73-58 on Sunday. Giessen looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Miles Mallory (196, college: RMC) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Noah Janen chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Malik Kudic (202-1999) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Sascha Kesselring (209-1985) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Giessen keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Ansbach. Haiterbach lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams.
