Regular Season Round 13: Trier - Artland 98-77

There was no surprise in Trier where 13th rankedArtland Dragons (4-9) were outplayed by sixth ranked Gladiators (9-4) 98-77 on Sunday. Trier made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Iranian Behnam Yakhchali (196-1995, agency: BIG) fired 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Marcus Graves (185-1996, college: Sacramento St.) chipped in 11 points and 7 assists. Five Gladiators players scored in double figures. Gladiators' coach Jacques Schneider felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Buzz Anthony (180-1998, college: RMC) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and the other American import forward Tajh Green (203-1998, college: Benedict) added 18 points respectively for lost side. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Gladiators . Trier moved-up to third place, which they share with Tuebingen and Kirchheim. Artland lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Bayreuth and Karlsruhe PS.
