An interesting game forLeverkusen (10-1) which hosted in Leverkusen second-ranked Kangaroos (8-3). First ranked Leverkusen had an easy win 101-73 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kangaroos. Leverkusen shot 63.5 percent from the field and made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game, while Iserlohn only scored twelve points from the stripe. They outrebounded Iserlohn 35-24 including a 25-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Sebastian Brach (190-2002) who led the winners and scored 30 points and 5 assists. American swingman Donte Nicholas (196-1987, college: Fresno Pacific) accounted for 13 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Kevin Strangmeyer (205-2000) came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American center Diante Bah (204-1997, college: Rowan) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Iserlohn in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Leverkusen . They maintain first place with 10-1 record, which they share with Leitershofen. Loser Kangaroos keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Schwelm.
