Bottom-rankedFreiburg managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they outleveled sixth-ranked Halle 89-65 . It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 24-point difference suggests that Freiburg is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. And what about a second win in a row after ...ten consecutive losses. Freiburg outrebounded Halle 37-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international forward Lina Sontag (190-2003, college: UCLA) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Pauline Mayer (172-2001) contributed with 24 points for the winners. American center River Baldwin (196-2001, college: NC State) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Polish point guard Dominika Fiszer (170-1994) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Halle. Four Halle players scored in double figures. Freiburg (2-10) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Veilchen. Halle at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Herner.
