Very predictable result when eighth rankedEisbaeren Bremerhaven (10-5) edged at home 15th ranked Bayreuth (4-11) 71-69 on Sunday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Bremerhaven looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian point guard Elijah Miller (183-1997, college: UPEI) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 assists. American guard Jake Biss (188-1998, college: Shippensburg) accounted for 13 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American swingman Demarcus Demonia (201-1999, college: A&M-Commerce) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and center Nat-Sidi Diallo (208-2000) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Bayreuth in the defeat. Five Bayreuth players scored in double figures. Bayreuth's coach Florian Wedell rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bremerhaven moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Bayreuth lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Artland and Karlsruhe PS.
