There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedLions (6-12) defeated higher ranked Phoenix Hagen (12-6) in Karlsruhe 90-86 on Saturday. Canadian forward Abu Kigab (200-1998, college: Boise St.) notched 22 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and center Maurice Pluskota (209-1992) supported him with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Four Lions players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 9 assists by American guard Sincere Carry (185-1999, college: Kent St.) did not help to save the game for Hagen . His fellow American import forward Naz Bohannon (198-1999, college: Clemson) added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Karlsruhe PS moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Koblenz. Loser Phoenix Hagen dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with 5 other teams.
