There was a minor upset when 12th rankedKoblenz (6-12) lost at home to fifteenth ranked Duesseldorf (5-13) 82-72 on Saturday. Duesseldorf made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Paul Abiodun notched 8 points, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and American swingman Brandon Spearman (191-1991, college: Hawaii, agency: BIG) supported him with 15 points. Spearman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Duesseldorf's coach Andac Yapicier used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 13 points and 9 assists by Leon Friederici (190-1995) did not help to save the game for Koblenz . Czech power forward David Bohm (205-2001, college: EWU, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Koblenz players scored in double figures. Duesseldorf moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Bayreuth. Koblenz lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Karlsruhe PS.
