Everything went according to plan when first rankedLeverkusen (15-1) beat on the road 13th ranked Neustadt TSV (4-12) 72-68 on Saturday. American swingman Donte Nicholas (196-1987, college: Fresno Pacific) fired 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Sebastian Brach (190-2002) chipped in 15 points. Four Leverkusen players scored in double figures. Naturalized American point guard Anthony Watkins (194-2000) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Shawn Scott (185-1996, college: SW Christian) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Neustadt TSV's coach Allan Ray tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Leverkusen have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-1 record. Newly promoted Neustadt TSV keeps the thirteenth place with 12 games lost.
