Regular Season Round 15: Recklinghausen - Rhoendorf 73-62

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Rhoendorf (5-10) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Recklinghausen (10-4) 73-62 on Saturday. Recklinghausen dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Rhoendorf's 24. It was a great evening for American center Brooke Bjelko (190-1999, college: Bryant) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Her fellow American import guard Vishe Rabb (175-1999, college: Augustana) helped adding 18 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Lisanne Rawer (178-2006) with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and Zoe Hartmann (175-1998) scored 12 points. Recklinghausen maintains fourth place with 10-4 record. Loser Rhoendorf dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Recklinghausen will meet Oberhausen (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rhoendorf will play against Gruenberg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
