There was an upset when higher rankedMBC (9-9) lost to fifteenth ranked Bamberg (7-11) in Weissenfels 69-87 on Saturday. Bamberg looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Ronaldo Segu (183-1999, college: Buffalo) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 7 assists. The former international center Filip Stanic (206-1998) accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Ukrainian Ivan Tkachenko (197-1997) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Michael Devoe (196-1999, college: Georgia Tech) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Weissenfels in the defeat. Five Bamberg and four Weissenfels players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bamberg maintains fifteenth place with 7-11 record. Loser MBC dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Oldenburg.
