Regular Season Round 20: B.Loewen - Loewen 66-71

There was no surprise when 14th ranked B.Loewen (6-17) was defeated at home by second ranked Loewen (17-4) 71-66 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Bryant Allen (183-1990, college: Dakota St.) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Italian Dario Fiorentino (206-1986) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Lars Brodisch (195-2004) produced 8 points and 17 rebounds and Tim Bruns added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Four B.Loewen players scored in double figures. Loewen have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-4 record having just seven point less than leader Hagen BG. B.Loewen lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth place with 17 games lost. Loewen will meet at home Recklinghausen (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. B.Loewen will play against Wulfen and hope to secure a win.
