There was a surprise result when tenth rankedBraves (8-11) smashed on the road higher ranked Schwelm (10-8) 97-66 on Saturday. Point guard Adrian Worthy (187-2003) fired 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Kevin Kollmar (189-2002) chipped in 22 points. Four Braves players scored in double figures. Braves' coach Michael Wende felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Robert Merz (198-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American Chris Frazier (182-1990, college: Dubuque) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Berlin Braves maintains tenth place with 8-11 record. Loser Schwelm keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Wuerzburg Ak.. Berlin Braves will meet higher ranked Bernau (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Schwelm will play against ETB Miners (#8) in Essen and hope to secure a win.
