Regular Season Round 22: Bensheim - Lich Basketball 64-88

There was no surprise when 9th rankedBensheim (7-13) was outleveled at home by second ranked Lich Basketball (17-3) 88-64 on Saturday. Lich Basketball forced 24 Bensheim turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international Johannes Lischka (203-1987) notched 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Noah Litzbach (196-2000) supported him with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Lich Basketball's coach Rolf Scholz felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds by swingman Jan Tschakaloff did not help to save the game for Bensheim . Power forward Tilman Isensee (206-1987) added 13 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Four Bensheim players scored in double figures. Lich Basketball have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with SC Wizards. Newly promoted Bensheim dropped to the tenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Soeflingen.
