There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Muenchen Ost (0-18) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Saarlouis/Dillin. (10-8) 75-71 on Saturday. American forward Holly Forbes (178-1998, college: UT Martin) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Sophia Nolan (185-2000, college: Loyola, IL) chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Isabella Klose (180-2004) with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Marlene Stechl (169-1998) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Saarlouis/Dillin. maintains sixth position with 10-8 record, which they share with Freiburg 2. Newly promoted Muenchen Ost still closes the standings with 18 games lost. Saarlouis/Dillin. will meet higher ranked Wasserburg (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Muenchen Ost will play against the league's leader Bad Homburg (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
