Regular Season Round 23: Lich Basketball - Giessen 75-72

Fourth-rankedGiessen (14-7) gave a tough game to second ranked Lich Basketball (18-3). Lich Basketball managed to secure only three-point victory 75-72 . However their fans expected easier game. Giessen was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Johannes Lischka (203-1987) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds. American point guard Jacob Salinero (185-1997, college: Sonoma St.) accounted for 11 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winning side. Four Lich Basketball players scored in double figures. Lich Basketball's coach Rolf Scholz allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Miles Mallory (196, college: RMC) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Serbian Nemanja Nadjfeji (198-2000) added 7 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Giessen in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Lich Basketball . They keep a position of league leader, which they share with SC Wizards. Giessen at the other side dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost.
