The game between third ranked46ers (17-8) and fourteenth ranked Falcons 46ers were defeated by Falcons in a tough game in Nuernberg 71-77 . It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of 46ers. Nuernberg outrebounded Giessen 35-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. American guard Gabe Kalscheur (193-1999, college: Iowa St.) stepped up and scored 18 points and 4 assists for the winners and center Leo Saffer (212-2000) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Falcons players scored in double figures. At the losing side Serbian forward Viktor Kovacevic (203-1999, college: West Liberty) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Slovakian point guard Simon Krajcovic (188-1994, college: LMU) scored 7 points and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nuernberg moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Bayreuth. Giessen at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Crailsheim.
