There was an upset when higher rankedOldenburger TB (9-12) was crushed at home by eleventh ranked Vechta-3 (7-14) 87-52 on Saturday. Vechta 3 outrebounded Oldenburger TB 34-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of center Malte Giljan (205-1995) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and Tim Insinger (208-1997) who added 17 points and 4 blocks during the contest. Four Vechta-3 players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Bart Zents (198-1992) with 8 points and 5 rebounds and Andre Galler (195-1992) scored 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vechta 3 moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Aschersleben and Goetting.ASC. Loser Oldenburger TB dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Ulm BBU 01 and Rendsburg.
