Regular Season Round 24: Aschersleben - Freibeuter 72-66

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Aschersleben (7-14) beat at home their close opponent Freibeuter (4-8) 72-66 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard DMonte Brown (193-2000, college: Langston) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds and center Maurice Delage (205-1995) who added 11 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Alexander Schillmann (184-1996) with 18 points and Paul Graetz (197-1997) scored 17 points. Aschersleben moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Goetting.ASC and Vechta 3. Freibeuter lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Schwabing. Aschersleben will meet Bramfelder (#13) in the next round. Freibeuter will play against Rendsburg (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
