Everything went according to plan in Quakenbrueck where second rankedGladiators (22-6) beat 16th ranked Artland Dragons (6-22) 92-86 on Saturday. Trier looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Iranian Behnam Yakhchali (196-1995, agency: BIG) fired 23 points for the winners. American point guard Jordan Roland (185-1997, college: Northeastern, agency: Diamond Sports) chipped in 23 points. Gladiators' coach Jacques Schneider used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Greek point guard Nikolaos Chouchoumis (186-1996) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 assists and center Robert Oehle (209-1988) added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gladiators have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Trier maintains second position with 22-6 record having four points less than leader Jena. Artland lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth place with 22 games lost. They share the position with Duesseldorf.
