There was an upset in Essen where higher rankedETB Miners (11-12) were defeated by thirteenth ranked Neustadt TSV (7-16) 85-77 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American guard Shawn Scott (185-1996, college: SW Christian) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Duje Dujmovic (204-2002) helped adding 24 points and 6 rebounds. Scott is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-Jamaican guard Brian Dawson (188-1999, college: Regis Univ., agency: Interperformances) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American swingman Isaiah Sanders (196-2000, college: Fairmont St.) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Neustadt TSV maintains thirteenth place with 7-16 record. ETB Miners at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with 6 other teams.
